Tia's Mexican Grill: Authentic Mexican Breakfast & Brunch in Melissa, TX

I’m in town on business and am always on the hunt for good Mexican food. My rule is that if a restaurant’s name is Mexican, there is a really good chance that the food is great. I got there early for lunch. I’m glad I did, because right after I got my food, a line of 15 people formed. I ordered three chicken tacos with rice and beans. They say the order numbers in Spanish, so you have to know what your number is and to listen for it. My food came with a large bottle of hot and very delicious salsa. I wanted to take it home with me. The tacos were very good, as was the rice and beans. I will come back to try some different dishes. I would definitely recommend this place for Mexican food lovers.

The staff was friendly and great! The food was amazing. We ordered tacos of steak and fried shrimp, a torta Cubana. Its great to have found a real Mexican restaurant in Anna/Melissa. I will definitely be coming back, this place felt like home.

I ordered 4 steak tacos on corn tortillas. I asked about a taco dinner but they don't have one, I was surprised by that. To add rice and beans is additional. My daughter had the kids quesadilla that came with a drink. She is a picky eater. I had to order a second quesadilla, so she really enjoyed the food. A very clean restaurant and I was greeted before ordering my food.

The cheese Gorditas are to die for!! I got the pork in salsa roja (it’s a smokey flavorful red sauce so yum!!) I also got street tacos with rice and beans. Everything was very fresh and homemade as a Mexican person myself. I approve of this place. It felt just like I was back home. New favorite Mexican spot!!

Good food choices and the staff are great. The place is kept neat and clean, and the pricing is reasonable. I wish they had some margarita specials, at least during happy hour or on a special day. Otherwise, it's a nice place for a quick bite to eat.

Awesome place, the food is consistently great, with lots of flavorful options to choose from. The atmosphere is welcoming, the dining area is clean, and the overall vibe makes it a comfortable place to eat. One thing I really like is the variety on the menu, you can enjoy classic Mexican dishes like tacos, but they also offer options like burgers, so there’s something for everyone. Definitely a solid spot if you’re looking for good food and a nice place to enjoy a meal.

We are new to Melissa and wanted Mexican food. We decided to visit Tia's. There not your traditional restaurant where you sit and order a combo plate. They have more of a fast food atmosphere but we ordered a few items and hub and i shared. The food was delicious. I don't know what they do with take out (they had a lot of people coming in to grab food) but they bring these 2 sauces; light red and green. They were both delicious. The red was a little spicier but I enjoyed them both. Their guacamole was very fresh. The chips were OK, not warm but still tasty and the salsa was good. Overall, we will definitely be coming back. I did notice that they had a small bar area, so they do serve alcohol (if you're interested.) You should definitely come visit, if you don't eat in, definitely order it before you come home. They are on the correct side (right side on 121) for picking up.

We went simple and got the chicken quesadilla and chicken burrito, plus guacamole and chips. Everything tasted fresh and delicious! The Jamaica aqua frescas was a little on the tart side for me but I’ll def be coming back here! Plus service was good :)
